KTV prices in Singapore, explained — towers, minimums and tips
Updated
Nobody publishes these numbers, so we do. This is how nightlife KTV pricing actually works in Singapore, with the figures we track across every district.
The three lines on every bill
1. The room minimum. Not rent — a drink commitment. Small rooms start at one beer tower; VIP rooms run to twelve towers and four bottles. A few venues (Wave Party K, Bella Bello, Pub 28’s karaoke rooms) price per session in dollars instead, which is easier to compare but watch for ++ (service charge and GST added on top).
2. The drinks. Beer towers are the unit of account: $38–99 at most rooms, $150 at premium lounges. Bottles — Martell VSOP is the standard order — run $180 at the cheapest rooms to $300+ at premium floors.
3. Hostess tips, at venues with hosting: typically $50 per session during happy hour, $100 on weeknights, sometimes $70 on weekends, rising to $150–220 at premium rooms. This appears as its own line on the bill.
District price map
Based on the venues we track (beer tower starting prices):
| District | Towers from | Character |
|---|---|---|
| Jalan Besar | $78 | Value cluster, long happy hours |
| Novena | $40 | Cheapest drinks in town, discreet |
| Bugis / Selegie | $38–88 | Lowest entry minimums, party rooms |
| Clarke Quay | $40–88 | Big operations, mid pricing |
| Boat Quay | $43–76 | Pubs and bars, mostly no minimums |
| Geylang / MacPherson | $49–88 | Local prices, flat-rate rooms |
| Orchard | $60–99 | Premium belt, morning sessions |
| Raffles Place | $78+ | CBD convenience to client-floor prices |
When you go matters as much as where
Happy hour (usually until 7–10pm) cuts both minimums and tips. Sunday tips are discounted at several rooms. Friday and Saturday nights carry peak minimums and sell out — book, don’t walk in.
Why our numbers have dates on them
Prices move. Every price on SGOWL carries the date we last checked it, and a jade “Verified” stamp once we’ve confirmed it with the venue directly. Unverified numbers are clearly marked as reference figures. If a price on this site is wrong, tell us on WhatsApp and we’ll fix it the same day.
Common questions
- How much does a KTV night cost in Singapore?
- Three lines make the bill: the room minimum (from one beer tower upward), the drinks that meet it (towers commonly $40 and up, bottles more), and an optional hostess tip billed as a separate line item. Nobody else publishes these numbers, so we do — each venue page carries the date we last checked.
- What is a beer tower?
- A shared column of draft beer, the unit most KTVs and bars price by. The cheapest we track is $38 (LOL on Prinsep Street); most nightlife towers run $40 and up. A group splits one, so the per-head cost drops.
- Are hostess tips included in the KTV price?
- No. Where a venue offers hostess company it is a separate, priced line item on the bill (commonly $50 in happy hour, $100 at night) — never bundled into the room rate.
